    One cannot consider valuation if you have not been exposed to some of the work of Professor Aswath Damodaran. Not only is he one of the most prolific academics writing about valuation but he also shares his materials widely for free which is wonderful. His YouTube channel is terrific.

    Steve Cooper and Dennis Juliens provide fantastic, accessible focused articles on a wide range of valuation and financial analysis topics.

  • MODELS: Company Valuation Under IFRS - 3rd edition by Nick Antill, Kenneth Lee and Deborah Taylor | Harriman House (harriman-house.com)

    This is the home site of our valuation book but the reason for recommending it is not to plug the book but instead to draw your attention to the downloadable models on the bottom right side of the webpage.

  • RESEARCH: Stephen H. Penman | Columbia Business School Directory

    Professor Penman has written many insightful articles and books. They are generally more mathematical than those provided by (say) Professor Aswath Damodaran and so will not appeal to everyone to the same degree but they will challenge your thinking.

  • ACCOUNTING: IFRS | Resources for Academics

    I am a member of the CMAC (Capital Markets Accounting Committee) and so I need to keep right up to date on new accounting developments. This part of the IASB website is devoted to academics but is very educationally friendly and useful.

  • INVESTMENT: Joachim Klement, CFA | CFA Institute Enterprising Investor

    Joachim is a wonderful writer, strategist and ESG guru working at Liberum in London. He writes extensively and freely about investment and ESG. The link below is to the CFA and has a large number of investment related posts. I have also included the link to Joachim’s blog on this page.

    This committee represents the view from capital markets on various accounting proposals and is part of the IFRS Foundation. I am a member hence recommending the website to keep you to date!

  • VALUATION: McKinsey | Measuring and Managing the Value of Companies

    This website is the home of the widely used textbook from McKinsey. It is an excellent website and has quite a few high quality informative videos.

  • VALUATION: European Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts (EACVA)

    This is a professional body focused on valuation. They also arrange a brilliant annual conference and provide great resources in their newsletter. For non-German speakers there is a high quality English translation.

  • VALUATION: Valuesque

    This is a valuation consultancy run by the great Professor Dr Matthias Meitner. Lots of interesting articles, almost all translated to English and all free. Matthias is also a terrific valuation consultant to boot!

  • VALUATION: Fine expert

    This is a highly technical valuation website with lots of interesting resources. Run by the very impressive Prof. Dr. Bernhard Schwetzler.

  • VALUATION: ValuAnalysis

    This valuation website is produced by Pascal Constantini, formerly of Deutsche Bank and author of a great valuation text (Cash Return Capital Invested Investment). Very interesting free publications here.
